Wear Graphs

The unique method of manufacture by Alloy Steel International results in a product that has many technical advantages and is surprisingly priced in the same range as its competition.

The results of performance testing related to hard facing material using a rubber wheel test are shown in the graph to the right.

The vertical axis indicates the amount of reduction in the weight of the sample (expressed in grams). The lower bar on this graph indicates that the sample survived with a much lower weight loss. This is extremely good because it shows the product has a lower wear rate.

The difference in wear resistance between Arcoplate and other metallic alloy products can be seen in the graph at right.

Each bar on this graph is the relative wear factor that is generated by dividing the wear lost (in grams) by the wear lost in mild steel.

All the bars relate to mild steel and show the relative improvement each product has regarding wear life over mild steel.
