Dozer Blades
Arcoplate ArcoAlloy 800
Lining Push Arms, Blade Face and underside of H Frame.
The unit shown to the right has currently exceeded 10,
000 hours working in a coal mine on over burden. This
wear plate shows very little wear and is anticipated to exceed over 40, 000
hours.

The picture on the left shows a Dozer Blade
without Arcoplate carrying extensive hangup.
To the right we see the same dozer working in the same
conditions with an Arcoplate wear kit carrying no hangup.

Buckets
Arcoplate ArcoAlloy 800 8mm on mm9 and 6mm on 9mm are used extensively
as wear elimination liners on digging buckets to reduce the weight
of wear components.
They also increase bucket life, reduce material hangup
and improve bucket payload. |

|
|
Arcoplate's ability to polish, reduces
the coefficient of friction which reduces the stress
on other mechanical components, such as gear boxes, hydraulic
pumps, seals and hoses.
This is over the conventional high carbon steel wear
plates and includes substantially improving bucket
down time. |
P & H Bucket
Alloy Steel International have developed the best solution
for P&H buckets with or trialed and tested Arcoplate
wear liners.
Advantages when using our wear kits include, dramatical
wear reduction over QT plate, less material hangup, reduced
weight, smooth surface finish, and easy application. |

Trials were recently conducted
with this P & H test bucket using Arcoplate and another
well known bulk weld brand.
Arcoplate is the single, predominantly
brown, large plate at the top left of the bucket and
the bulk weld brand consists of the other pieces.
Measurements indicate that the bulk weld brand is wearing
at a significantly faster rate than the Arcoplate. This
photograph shows the difference in the wear rates between
a conventionally bulk weld overlay and continuous cast
overlay. |
The 'Dutchman's Hat' is an area which
is always subject to wear. This is due to the weight
of the ore plus the volume eroding the heavy QT plate
discharging very rapidly at 400 BNH up to 100 mm (4 in).
In contrast the Arcoplate ArcoAlloy 800 shows little
or no wear and is ready for more punishment. |

On the left, Arcoplate ArcoAlloy 800 Liner
after 6 Months use on P & H 2800 Rope Shovel. Notice
the high polish obtained on the floor. You will also
notice the lack of heavy stress cracking that you
might see in conventional weld wear plate.
On the right, Arcoplate ArcoAlloy 800 in floor area of a hydraulic
shovel. The welded type wear plate on the sides show signs of
wear. However, the Arcoplate floor plates are still in
the same condition as when they were installed.

Dump Truck Box
Lined with Arcoplate ArcoAlloy 800 8/9.
Strips 300 mm wide with a 60 mm Gap.
The herring bone liner design was chosen because it
can be securely welded onto the truck box liners.
This allows the truck box to flex without any fear of cracking
the plug welds. If the client had chosen the large sheets then plug
welding would have been required to anchor the wearplate
to the truck body.
For examples of failures regarding large sheets and
plug welding see Disadvantages
of Traditional Wearplate.
